I’ve reviewed the Toleriane riche cream for dry skin previously and thought I’d add a review for the Toleriane lotion for normal-combinaiton skins that I have been using as well. I always use either of these toleriane creams in conjunction with the Cicaplast healing gel whenever I have an eczema break out because they never, ever cause even the slightest bit of irritation for me and the Cicalplast is almost as good as steroid creams at healing eczema. Basically my review for the riche version holds here, except I use the Toleriane riche cream when my skin is extra dry and the lotion for combination skin when it is on the oily side. This is usually a summer/winter …

This is one foundation I use when my skin is really dry, I don’t think it’s so great when my skin is a bit on the oily or combination side as it tends to shine up with it on. Despite that, on dry skin it is fabulous at protecting red, sensitive skin whilst hiding it from the world at the same time. It does come on a bit thick looking so try and be sparing with your application. I like to use this particular foundation with make-up sponges as they can be used to apply liquid foundation more thinly, but be warned they also soak up a lot of the foundation themselves which can be bad cost-wise. This is …

The La Roche-Posay ‘Toleriane’ line is designed for sensitive, reactive skin. The La Roche-Posay ‘Roseliac’ gel cleanser is one of my favorite cleansers to use in the shower, the roseliac line being good for skin redness. Since I liked that so much I thought I aught to have more of a look at their sensitive skin range. I had only ever tried the individually portioned eye make-up remover from the toleriane line so far, and found it to be brilliant on really sensitive skin. I actually use it for my whole face if it’s very sensitive as I figure if it’s suitable for the eye area it will more than suitable for the sensitive skin on the rest of my …

This is the first of two reviews I’m going to post today about individual portion packages for extremely sensitive skin. The first is La Roche-posay’s  toleriane ‘desmaquillante de ojos’, which is basically a water-free wipe-off cleanser (the translation is actually ‘eye make up remover’ although I use it as a full face cleanser when my skin is really sensitive). The second is Avene’s tolerance extreme cream for hypersensitive and allergic skin. Both are products for extremely sensitive skin conditions where reactivity and infection is a large concern. La Roche-Posay’s cleanser is everything it is marketed to be. It is gentle in the extreme; you can’t even feel it. It removes make up very well and there is no irritation …

If this stuff came with an SPF I would be one very happy customer. As it is, it is a nice medium coverage foundation for the most sensitive of skin. It’s called toleriane for a reason as it is very well tolerated. As a foundation this is okay. I apply it with fresh sponges or occasionally with a dry foundation brush for a buff finish. The coverage is pretty good and will hide most blemishes, although if you use to much it develops a thick visible layer that screams “I’m wearing make-up”. It hi
des skin redness and scaliness pretty well too, which is great because that is when you’d need to use this. I would use this if …
