I just came back from camping and my skin was looking a bit ruddy. A little bit of sunburn dryness, a little irritation from mozzy sprays and dirty creak water and just overall dullness due to dehydration and not getting a good nights sleep for a couple of days. Unlike the previous post this calming product is a serum and you can feel the difference in the texture. The salve was more like a balm whereas this is more like a viscous liquid. It contains cotton to sooth and calm the skin and when I tried this I was using it under L’occitane’s ultra rich shea cream. I went through the small 15 ml container very, very quickly and at $40 a pop I won’t be buying it again. The container has a spurt dispenser and doesn’t allow you to take the cap of and scrape up the last bit of product which is a real shame and a waste. The plastic would be to strong to cut open …

My next two reviews are about skin calming serums/salves/balms what ever you would call them, one from Kiehl’s which I’ll review now and the other by L’Occitane which I’ll post about tomorrow. The two centella products from Kiehl’s: the balm and the cleanser are designed to calm irritated skin and they do do this. They are gloriously gentle and contain aloe vera and other ingredients to calm the skin. If I ever put something on my skin that gives me a bad reaction I wash it off and plop some of this on my skin and within 10 minutes I can feel the difference.
