I’ve been using this for a while but wanted to hold off on reviewing it for fear I would come across as a blathering idiot raving about how good it is. The thing is I love this to bits and I don’t even really know what to call it. It’s not really a gel, a salve nor a cream. It has an almost gel like consistency but it feels a tiny bit greasy when rubbing the fingertips together. Despite this it absorbs into the skin like a dream. I’ve been using this as a night cream and there is no residue left after I cover my face with a moderate amount. The skin feels remarkably different with this on, …
This is the number one foaming gel cleanser I’ve tried out of perhaps 4 or 5 in the past few years. The main problem I have with foaming cleansers is that they can strip the skin of oils, which may be mostly due to the fact that you have to use water with them. Even so this one has never left me with tight or dried out skin, but at the same time really provides deep cleansing. I do use a moisturizer straight after using this however. The second is Avene’s tolerance extreme cream for hypersensitive and allergic skin. Both are products for extremely sensitive skin conditions where reactivity and infection is a large concern. La Roche-Posay’s cleanser is everything it is marketed to be. It is gentle in the extreme; you can’t even feel it. It removes make up very well and there is no irritation …
If this stuff came with an SPF I would be one very happy customer. As it is, it is a nice medium coverage foundation for the most sensitive of skin. It’s called toleriane for a reason as it is very well tolerated. As a foundation this is okay. I apply it with fresh sponges or occasionally with a dry foundation brush for a buff finish. The coverage is pretty good and will hide most blemishes, although if you use to much it develops a thick visible layer that screams “I’m wearing make-up”. It hi
des skin redness and scaliness pretty well too, which is great because that is when you’d need to use this. I would use this if …
