I’ve been a big fan of La Roche Posay’s “Rosaliac” cleanser for years now but lately I haven’t been able to find it in my favourite stores. That is online stores, La Roche Posay is no where to be found in brick-and-mortar stores in Australia at all. If I’m wrong please correct me as I would love to be able to buy it from Australian stores if I need it in a hurry.
Rosaliac is a gel cleanser, and it has a beautiful soothing, cooling feel to it which is perfect for (as the name implies) anyone with Rosacia. If you have Rosacia I strongly recommend it for you, it may be the best cleanser you’ve ever tried. As for me, …

The Clarins daily energizer cream and cleanser are made with young skin in mind – to refresh and tone the complexion. They are not the most hydrating products around and I would make the disclaimer that they are best suited to normal to oily skin types. That said they are lovely to use and really do make the skin feel fresh and rejuvenated. First up the cleanser is wonderful. It is a soft gel that lathers up a little and cleanses very thoroughly. The cream gel is more like a regular moisturizing cream than a gel although it is on the light side so the gel part is appropriate.

Yes, Skinfood is definitely my favorite BB cream brand (of the one’s I’ve tried so far that is!). Although I have a bit of a gripe with the colours available I love the way it protects my skin from the sun and environmental allergens without exacerbating oiliness or spots. My problem with the colours is that there are only two available and neither suit my skin tone. I’ve been using this on and off for a couple of months now, so I think I’m ready to review it. Avene’s Eluage gel is a highly concentrated retinol gel for minimizing wrinkles and improving skin tone. I have mainly been using it to see if it would have any effect on uneven pigmentation caused by past sun damage but also to see what effect it would have on smaller wrinkles that I have developed. First though I have to say enough of the wrinkle hate already! Sure young skin obviously looks nice but the wrinkles of a well lived face add character – especially if they are wrinkles from positive emotion. The crows feet and nasio-labial lines you …

I have quite an interesting product to review today, it’s actually a gel containing flakes of pure silver for use in controlling oily skin and acne. While reviewing this antibacterial and oil balancing gel by Ayurda I thought I’d take the opportunity to also post a bit of interesting information about it’s primary ingredient as it has a long and colourful history. Silver is known to pretty much everyone as a metal used in jewelry but in the colloidal form it has long been used as an anti-microbial agent in both industrial and health related products. Although it has been shown safe to be used topically on the skin there have been a few unfortunate cases of colloidal silver …
