I have sensitive skin on my face that reacts badly to most sunscreens, even ones specifically designed for the face. My skin gets red and at worst can flare up into nasty itchy dermatitis if I use normal skin care products. Kiehl’s Abyssine cream with SPF 23 is the first sunscreen product I’ve used that not only protects my skin from the sun but also appears to make it less sensitive.
I first tried this cream after I bought it in the Selfridges Department store on a trip to London a few years ago and have been using for at least a year now. In that time no new sunspots or freckles have appeared as the suncreen works its magic but …

This is a suburb hand cream, i love the smell and it absorbs nicely into the skin although not as quickly as i would like. Hand creams generally need to absorb quickly so you don’t spread them everywhere or have them rub off. I also think they should provide a level of moisture that can withstand a few hand washes, although I don’t really expect most hand creams would do this. Avene’s cold cream hand cream stays on well enough to last a hand washing which is why it’s my favorite hand cream. This cream is meant to restore the hydro-lipid barrier of the skin. I found it during an online search for products that would help an eczema break out on my cheeks which left them feeling itchy, inflamed and irritated. With my skin in that state this cream did tingle and burn a little on application, but not for very long. It had a slightly chemical smell to it that I didn’t quite like although because it didn’t irritate my skin I used it twice. Using the second tube on fairly normal skin, i would say that this cream is fairly safe to use for people with irritated or inflamed skin. It helped to keep my skin moisturized, even over night …
