Super balanced is a line of foundations by Clinique that are good for combination skins. The line has been going for many years and has had a few different incarnations, the most recent being the introduction of a mineral power version. The super balanced name comes from it’s purported ability of to provide liquid foundation cover and oil absorption where needed. It also comes in an oil free formula, which makes it suitable for use on rosacea or eczema prone skin which can be irritated by oils.
I remember trying the clinique superbalanced make up range way back when, I can’t remember which year exactly but it was quite a while ago. I used a compact with a refillable solid cake …

Clinique market their comfort on call cream as a clinically tested product for allergy relief and prevention. It is formulated with sensitivity in mind, and with ingredients least likely to disagree with easily irritated or sensitive skin. It is also formulated to provide relief when the skin is in the midst of an allergic reaction, by calming inflammation, soothing and helping restore the skins compromised lipid barrier. It is not an oily cream though, as oils can be one of the things that can exacerbate inflamed skin, so be careful of how you use them (ie test them first). Comfort on call however is simply perfect in texture, consistency and feel on allergic skin. It definitely is creamy, not greasy, …

Skin reaction alert! I had a skin reaction using this so I’m going to describe what happened. Keep in mind even if you do have sensitive skin that you may not always experience the same reactions as myself or others so take my advice here with a grain of salt. I’ve heard some positive feedback from people with sensitive skin using this so it may still be okay for you. Okay. I tried the Clinique turnaround serum and absolutely loved it! You can read my review of that here.It was great at smoothing out the skin and gave it a lovely soft glow. It was also great on my sensitive skin. From that success I wanted to try …

I used this quite a few years ago before I discovered Avene’s (and other brands) thermal water sprays. This is not a water spray however, it is a moisturizing spray formulated I guess in a similar way to the cream of the same name, but be warned this is not like the cream at all. It sits halfway between a water spray and a moisturizer you just spray on. This was useful to me at the time as I had very dry skin that would need to be ‘watered’ during the day in between morning and evening moisturizer applications. Unfortunately after using it for some time I found that it began to sting my skin. This might have been because …

I just came back from camping and my skin was looking a bit ruddy. A little bit of sunburn dryness, a little irritation from mozzy sprays and dirty creak water and just overall dullness due to dehydration and not getting a good nights sleep for a couple of days. There was nothing specifically wrong with my skin, just a conglomeration of little things that added up to a few bad-skin-days. I had a sample packet of this stuff lying around but didn’t really have a chance to test it out until this week. I took the opportunity to see if it would make any difference on my tired looking skin and am pleased to say a big yes. First off …
