Chanel mat lumiere foundation is very much like its counterpart, pro lumiere with the exception of… you guessed it… it’s matt. I would say that this is not the best matt foundation out their if you have very oily skin. I have moderately oily skin around my t-zone with dry cheeks and this foundation can start to look a little greasy in around the nose after a few hours. If you have perfectly normal skin however this product is great. Even so I think this foundation would suit most skin types, just not the extremely oily kind. This is a good light weight foundation that provides medium coverage. It goes on like silk and gives the skin a really nice silky sheen. The lasting power is not strong however, and the perfect satin finish doesn’t last to long past the application. It is not so much a gloss or a matt foundation but lies somewhere in the middle. I’ve heard that this is a foundation of choice for some photographers as the luminescent quality tends to show up nicely in pictures giving the skin a nice healthy glow.
