Another great Avene cream for extra sensitive skin types that I’m surprised I haven’t reviewed yet. This is a reliable cream that I have been using for years for extra dry, eczema afflicted skin. I recently took advantage of the strong AU dollar and bought some more recently from the Pharamundi amazon store here at a much better price that you find in Australian priceline stores and with a fairly cheap delivery fee too; international delivery is one thing that can negate the benefits of purchasing skincare overseas, but in this case it’s not a problem. I can vouch for the quality of the cream as it was the same old cream I have always used, really good at …
All the cleansing products we use in modern life can have the effect of compromising the skins barrier and making us more prone to allergies and intolerance. Eczema is of course one of the most obvious outcomes of a compromised skin barrier but there are also links to other types of sensitivities such as to food and dust (although more research is needed). Whatever the links, it’s still a good idea to keep an eye on the cleansing products you use on your skin, especially so if you are prone to rashes or eczema.
One of the first tips for eczema cleansing is to try not to wash your skin too often and try to wash only once a day. …
I am surprised that I have forotten to review Avene’s Trixera cream! It is one of the creams I have been using on active eczema for sometime and find it is great. It is very similar to A-Derma’s exomega cream in constitution, however it is a little different in smell and texture all though not much. Avene products tend to have a similar scent to each other and that is present here although I don’t think it is an added fragrance. Both creams contain omega 9 oils which are beneficial for eczema and both protect the skin really well. Which you prefer is up to you, but in action they are equal in my opinion. I think I heard that …
I’ve been using this on and off for a couple of months now, so I think I’m ready to review it. Avene’s Eluage gel is a highly concentrated retinol gel for minimizing wrinkles and improving skin tone. I have mainly been using it to see if it would have any effect on uneven pigmentation caused by past sun damage but also to see what effect it would have on smaller wrinkles that I have developed. First though I have to say enough of the wrinkle hate already! Sure young skin obviously looks nice but the wrinkles of a well lived face add character – especially if they are wrinkles from positive emotion. The crows feet and nasio-labial lines you …
This is a review of Avene’s SPF 50 sunscreen/cream for the face. It is a suncreen that I bought when overseas in Europe and can’t be found in Australia on the shelves as we have a maximum 30 SPF policy. Avene do have a 30 SPF product available here but I haven’t tried that yet. This review is confined to the higher SPF variety from france, unfortunately I don’t yet know if it is similar or the same as the local variety.
This is pretty much the only sunscreen product I have been able to tolerate on bare skin, even the skin on my face with nothing underneath it to protect the skin. Usually If I apply a sunscreen it …
