Clinique market their comfort on call cream as a clinically tested product for allergy relief and prevention. It is formulated with sensitivity in mind, and with ingredients least likely to disagree with easily irritated or sensitive skin. It is also formulated to provide relief when the skin is in the midst of an allergic reaction, by calming inflammation, soothing and helping restore the skins compromised lipid barrier. It is not an oily cream though, as oils can be one of the things that can exacerbate inflamed skin, so be careful of how you use them (ie test them first). Comfort on call however is simply perfect in texture, consistency and feel on allergic skin. It definitely is creamy, not greasy, …
This cream works well on inflamed skin in need of healing. I think it would suit different types of skin inflammation, from acne to allergic responses. It’s a thick and moisturizing cream that feels a bit too heavy on the skin to use during the day but is absolutely perfect for sore, dry skin. I prefer to use this overnight rather than in the morning. I’ve used this sporadically when I’ve had flare ups of eczema and my skin has been red and inflamed, it is also nice to use at night to compensate if your using any active ingredient topical products during the day that might irritate the skin. It works as a good emollient and appears to soothe …
Like the last post, this product comes in portion sized packets to prevent contamination. It is designed for extremely reactive, allergic skin and should be used during a flare up of allergies, eczema etc where infection needs to be prevented. It forms a protective barrier for the skin and helps it restore surface integrity. There is little danger of your skin reacting badly to this, although it is possible with any product (even natural ones). The cream itself is non-scented and very lovely to use. It applies nicely and requires no rubbing of the skin for it to absorb. Overall I give this 4 out of 5 **** Not for everyday use, but for specific types of skin emergencies only!
