I’ve gotten a bit behind in my giveaways but to make up for it I have a very special product up for grabs this month just in time for summer – Clarins high protection sunscreen sticks! Clarins sunscreen is one of the best for sensitive skin and this one is particularly good as it is especially for delicate and/or sensitive areas. I’ve been using my sun stick around the eyes but also on my face and it is wonderful! I am notoriously sensitive to most sunscreens but not this, I really do have 100% tolerance for it.
Not only is this sunscreen very well tolerated but it also comes in the niftiest little container. To open it you twist …
Yes, Skinfood is definitely my favorite BB cream brand (of the one’s I’ve tried so far that is!). Although I have a bit of a gripe with the colours available I love the way it protects my skin from the sun and environmental allergens without exacerbating oiliness or spots. My problem with the colours is that there are only two available and neither suit my skin tone. They have light and dark, the light is very ghostly pale and the dark is for naturally dark skin tones of which I am neither. I do think that the tones where designed with Asian skintones in mind, which does make sense given this is a Singaporean skincare brand. Anyway, I still use …
This year I’ve been trying a few of these single-use face masks for giving the skin an extra hydrating boost. I put them on at night just as I go to sleep and let them skin in for 10-15 minutes before taken them off and roll over to sleep. The first thing I noted when I first used them was the odd shape of the mask. They are basically light cloth-like material with holes for the mouth, eyes and nose and also some slits on the side to contour them to the face.Obviously everyone has a slightly different shaped face and head so they have tried to design these masks to be able to fit everyone. Unfortunately they don’t …
All the cleansing products we use in modern life can have the effect of compromising the skins barrier and making us more prone to allergies and intolerance. Eczema is of course one of the most obvious outcomes of a compromised skin barrier but there are also links to other types of sensitivities such as to food and dust (although more research is needed). Whatever the links, it’s still a good idea to keep an eye on the cleansing products you use on your skin, especially so if you are prone to rashes or eczema.
One of the first tips for eczema cleansing is to try not to wash your skin too often and try to wash only once a day. …
I’ve been wanting to review a soapwalla product for some time now, but just haven’t had the energy to give them the attention that they deserve. Soapwalla is quite a unique and inspiring line, there is a passion and love behind the making of each and every item that is difficult to portray with a quick review. Today I’m going to write a little about the Comfort body wash but I encourage everyone to read more about sopawalla on their wordpress blog here: http://soapwallakitchen.wordpress.com as well.
The body wash I’ve tried is called comfort, I presume because it is comes with a yummy smell that is reminiscent of the things that the soapwalla chef finds comforting, specifically almond and ginger. …
