I tend to avoid using many hair products because as a rule hairsprays and gels are not formulated for sensitive skin as commonly as products you actually put on the skin, which makes sense. There have been only a very small few I’ve used over the years where it doesn’t matter if your hair comes in contact with your face with the hair product in it. One of these is Klorane’s dry shampoo. I should note Klorane’s claims to being hypoallergenic have been true in my case, I’ve never had a problem with any of their shampoos, conditioners or leave in balms. This product is a must have when you have oily hair in need of a wash but can’t …

Aside from sounding like a science fiction novel, this is one pretty good product if you have a damaged hydro-lipid barrier on your face. This might apply if your skin is overly dry to the point of being raw, or if you have an eczema flare-up of some sort. It does very little for the itch initially, but by providing a thick barrier it prevents subsequent itch from dust particles or other things floating in the air that come into contact with the skin. So within 10 minutes skin should feel more comforted from that protection. It is a smooth and relatively light cream for what it is. It does provide a physical barrier on the skin, so it is …

The name of this moisturizer is a bit of a mouth full, and I’m not really sure that it applies, well at least for me. I have given this a go and gone through two sample bottles which I think would be enough to notice a difference in my skin condition, especially if the moisturizer is claiming ‘dramatic’ difference but I didn’t notice any. Don’t get me wrong, this is a nice moisturizer. It would work well for combination skin types (AKA normal skin) as it has nice oil control around the t-zone as well as being moisturizing enough for dryer areas on the face. It doesn’t have a strong smell which is nice, but unfortunately doesn’t come with …

I believe skin care can and should be effective and affordable, so I don’t usually look into luxury brand skin care products. I do consider them when when they offer something a cheaper brand doesn’t, or when they actually turn out to be just as economical because I need to use less. The last point applies to the Chanel foundations I’ve tried. Anyway, I was given a sample of this day wear cream by Chanel, beauté initiale. It contains an SPF so it gets points for that. It also claims to give you a ‘healthy glow’. While not being heavily tinted there is a color to this cream which adds a sheen to your face. The smell is noticeable but …

This is the number one foaming gel cleanser I’ve tried out of perhaps 4 or 5 in the past few years. The main problem I have with foaming cleansers is that they can strip the skin of oils, which may be mostly due to the fact that you have to use water with them. Even so this one has never left me with tight or dried out skin, but at the same time really provides deep cleansing. I do use a moisturizer straight after using this however. The rosaliac line is designed for soothing red skin, whether from rosacia or more temporary causes. I would recommend this for eczema sufferers because it contains aloe vera and you can feel it …
