Lush: Emperor of Icecream is Being Discontinued

21 June 2010 Tags: , , 2 Comments

There are two Lush products that I pretty much always have around and they are this vanilla and orange blossom body butter and their “angels on Bare Skin” exfoliation face scrub. I decided to post about Emperor of Icecream because the other day when I went in to the Lush store at Bondi Junction the staff told me that this was actually being discontinued! The horror! So heads up, if you’re a fan of this stock up now. If you’ve never tried it, then now is your chance.
Emperor of Icecream is primarily a vanilla scented body butter. It gives you a musky vanilla scent, which smells a little like babies skin, it’s a very comforting smell. To use it, massage the bar into your body in the shower or bath, and then rinse it off. I like to use it on my underarms as a bit of added protection against body odor and also on my feet. It doesn’t wash off completely and is sort of like a solid body lotion/balm that can stay on the skin. Not washing it off properly is fine; It has never irritated my sensitive skin and also conditions and softens the skin. I do use this mainly to smell nice, but the fact that it is hydrating and conditioning for my skin as well means I keep buying it. It doesn’t clash with most perfumes, even strong ones as it is a very natural, subtle scent (depending on how much you use). I also like this because few scented body washes and lotions are suitable for sensitive skin; this one is both lovely smelling and kind on sensitive skin.

So…. if you want to try this get some quick, and if your a long time fan then now is the time to stock up. Even though the photo links to the lush Australia website it’s no longer available online so pop into your nearest store to nab the last bars. Heads up Lush Emperor of Icecream fans :-)

Hi Alcione, thanks for following me. I’m glad you like skin savers; if you haven’t already you should enter the Ishiki sensitive skincare giveaway – it’s ending in 4 days! You can enter here:

I’m so sad too, it is one of the very few skin care/body products I have continued to buy over the years. It’s rare that I continue to use the same thing for so long :-) But now that will have to come to an end unless I fill my freezer with a stock pile of the last batch or something lol ;-)
