Kiehl’s: Creme d’Elegance Repairateur

This moisturizing cream is exactly for people with dry or very dry skin. It’s definitely not for those with overly oily skin at all as it is quite a greasy cream. If you do have dry skin however it is wonderful. I recommend using this cream at night, either as part of your daily skin-care routine or on occasions when your skin needs a bit of extra nourishing. When put on, the cream sits on the skin for a while and makes you look shiny. The shine is what prevents me from using it in the mornings or underneath foundation. I do use it almost every night after cleansing my skin, especially in the dryer, winter months. This cream is great for soothing and repairing dry skin from air-conditioning, plane trips or sunburn. It really does put back in all the essential oils your skin needs. When I wake up in the morning after applying this the night before my skin looks plump, fresh and healthy. I also think since I’ve been using it that any new pimples or scratch scars heal faster.
If you use AHA or any glycolic acid products on your skin Kiehl’s creme d’elegance repairateur may be just the thing to use afterwards to help heal and protect the skin. It contains lots of ingredients to sooth the skin including aloe vera, almond oil, shea butter, apricot kernel oil, avocado oil, coconut oil and more. It is definitely an oily cream, but if you have dry skin this is just what you need. I think this is a great product and will be buying it again.
