Hanskin: caviar gold B.B cream
I bought a sample pack of Hanskin’s B.B cream for $20 AU a few days ago at an Asian beauty store (with lots of fake Chanel jewelry!). In it were four 10ml tubes of different types of B.B. cream; an eye cream, a night cream, a glossy cream and a ‘caviar’ gold cream. The latter two are for day wear and contain an SPF and medium coverage of imperfections.
Even though the caviar gold cream (pictured) looks quite dark, on the skin it is rather pale. I don’t think this would suit naturally tanned or dark skin tones, on me I think it is okay however it is still in the hot months here and at this time my skin suits a slightly darker shade than usual. I was most impressed by the intensive night cream. The night cream is goes on smoothly and leaves the skin soft and moisturized without any grease, in fact it is like there is nothing on your skin at all, but your skin feels naturally soft and wonderful. The eye cream is similar to the night cream. Overall I am quite impressed by these products. At the moment my skin is not very sensitive at all so I cannot say for sure if these will irritate sensitive skin. They have been just fine on my skin so far which is a good indicator because even when my skin is fairly robust a bad product will invariably irritate my skin. I give these creams a 4 out of 5. I’ll update more once I’ve been using them a longer time to report any long term effects. ****
UPDATE: This stuff is really very good. I’ve been using the ‘caviar’ gold and the night cream for the past few days and the oil control and moisturizing has been great. I’ve never found a cream that could moisturize the dry skin on my cheeks without making by t-zone a bit oily; this actually seems to prevent oil building up in my t-zone. Also, I’m amazed at how it feels like my skin has nothing on it at all, it leaves the skin very natural looking. I love this and am going to buy a full tube. I’m up-scaling the score to 4.5 out of 5!
If you want to buy some too I recommend Ebay. You can find it there for around $20 for a 45g tube straight from Korea which is pretty good value. Make sure to check the sellers feedback rating before you buy though!
TIP: Make sure your skin is completely dry before putting this cream on otherwise it will not smooth on or absorb properly.
