Clarins: Hydraquench cooling cream-gel

clarins hydraquench cooling gel cream I must admit most of the clarins creams I’ve tried so far tend to be not hydrating enough for dry skins. That’s mainly due to the ones I’ve tried, the hydraquench range however is made to hydrate all skin types including dry or very dry skins. This particular product from the hydraquench line, the cooling gel cream is a summer favorite of mine and even though it is for normal to combination skin types I find it provides enough moisture for dry skin too. It is the most ideal skincare to use in really hot climates, perhaps only second to Skinfoods cucumber and lettuce jelly. I always keep a jar of it in the fridge for the extra cooling sensation. First, all of the hydraquench line seem to be more hydrating than the other clarins creams I’ve tried; even if the cream is for ‘normal’ skin I find it much more hydrating. Second, this is lovely for overheated, dry and congested skin. I don’t use this as a daily cream/gel but more when my skin is feeling the heat. In the morning skin does best with a little jolt of coolness to close pores and tighten the complexion and on particularly hot and stuffy days this does this trick beautifully. Like with most of clarins creams and cleansers I’ve found this one is good for sensitive, irritation prone skin, although it probably wont be as good as active, targeted skin care at reducing irritation once it’s set in, clarins is always a good brand for reliable, sensitive-safe skin care.
