Clarins: Daily Energiser Cream Gel

Clarins Creme Eclat du Jour - Daily Energizer CreamThe Clarins daily energizer cream and cleanser are made with young skin in mind – to refresh and tone the complexion. They are not the most hydrating products around and I would make the disclaimer that they are best suited to normal to oily skin types. That said they are lovely to use and really do make the skin feel fresh and rejuvenated. First up the cleanser is wonderful. It is a soft gel that lathers up a little and cleanses very thoroughly. The cream gel is more like a regular moisturizing cream than a gel although it is on the light side so the gel part is appropriate.
The best thing about the energizer cream and cleanser is the lovely smell; I just can’t get enough of it. Although smell is a subjective thing I can’t imagine this particular scent being offensive to anyone; it has a beautiful soft smell of peach to it, which is really nice.
Aside from these not providing as much hydration as my drier/combination skin type needs I have been using them happily in the morning to wake up and refresh my skin and then adding a little extra Clarins hydraquench cream after they have settled in if I need to. This usually only happens if the weather is really dry or cold and my skin is on the dry side. If its hot and humid the Energizer cream by itself is just fine.
