Clinique market their comfort on call cream as a clinically tested product for allergy relief and prevention. It is formulated with sensitivity in mind, and with ingredients least likely to disagree with easily irritated or sensitive skin. It is also formulated to provide relief when the skin is in the midst of an allergic reaction, by calming inflammation, soothing and helping restore the skins compromised lipid barrier. It is not an oily cream though, as oils can be one of the things that can exacerbate inflamed skin, so be careful of how you use them (ie test them first). Comfort on call however is simply perfect in texture, consistency and feel on allergic skin. It definitely is creamy, not greasy, …

I have quite an interesting product to review today, it’s actually a gel containing flakes of pure silver for use in controlling oily skin and acne. While reviewing this antibacterial and oil balancing gel by Ayurda I thought I’d take the opportunity to also post a bit of interesting information about it’s primary ingredient as it has a long and colourful history. Silver is known to pretty much everyone as a metal used in jewelry but in the colloidal form it has long been used as an anti-microbial agent in both industrial and health related products. Although it has been shown safe to be used topically on the skin there have been a few unfortunate cases of colloidal silver …

There are two Lush products that I pretty much always have around and they are this vanilla and orange blossom body butter and their “angels on Bare Skin” exfoliation face scrub. I decided to post about Emperor of Icecream because the other day when I went in to the Lush store at Bondi Junction the staff told me that this was actually being discontinued! The horror! So heads up, if you’re a fan of this stock up now. If you’ve never tried it, then now is your chance.
Emperor of Icecream is primarily a vanilla scented body butter. It gives you a musky vanilla scent, which smells a little like babies skin, it’s a very comforting smell. To use it, massage …

This is a review of Avene’s SPF 50 sunscreen/cream for the face. It is a suncreen that I bought when overseas in Europe and can’t be found in Australia on the shelves as we have a maximum 30 SPF policy. Avene do have a 30 SPF product available here but I haven’t tried that yet. This review is confined to the higher SPF variety from france, unfortunately I don’t yet know if it is similar or the same as the local variety.
This is pretty much the only sunscreen product I have been able to tolerate on bare skin, even the skin on my face with nothing underneath it to protect the skin. Usually If I apply a sunscreen it …

I thought it’s about time I post about my all time favorite mineral make up so far. You want to know what it is? Well I suppose the title gives it away already but it is in fact Minerelle’s powder compact. Not only is it the most gorgeous make-up compact I own, it is also the best quality mineral make-up I’ve ever used. I don’t know what it is they put in it exactly, but whatever it is it’s good. This covers all skin imperfections brilliantly from pigmentation to redness from rosacea. I use it as my daily make-up as it’s also lovely to carry around; the compact is secure and looks great with everything with it’s suave gold packaging. …
